Looks like my time on DA will be very limited over the next couple of months as I prepare myself for the upcomming advancement exams in mid September. This is extremely important in regards to my job, considering I have been trying to make the next paygrade for the last three years, unsuccessfully. If I fail to make it to the next rank within the next cycle, then my military career is pretty much over.
The most I will be able to do during my moments online will be to check my club for new members and maybe make a few quick submissions if I can find time for art. But for now, a majority of my activity and free time will be restricted to study.
Man, I hope I make it this time...I seriously need the shore duty.
I have only seen the Pilot Episodes of the new TV series Storm Hawks, and I gotta say...I'm hooked! I haven't been an "Instant Fan" of a new TV show since...Malcom in the Middle premiered back in 2000.
Most shows I've gotten into lately have either had to grow on me after a few weeks, or when friends have movie marathons during a long weekend. Heck, even FMA didn't get to me until I saw the episode with Nina.
As far as Storm Hawks is concerned, I'm looking forward to 04Jun07 for the next episode.
Who knows...I may start turning out fan art before the first season gets firmly established!
Tune into Cartoon Network and see the show for yourselves! Check your listings!
Are they really worth celebrating?
They always seemed like a blast when you're a kid, but as you get up in the years, you hate the fact that you're getting older, everyone starts forgetting about them, and the idea of birthday gifts seem so...lack luster and foreign.
I think my last "good" birthday was when I was 14. Since then its been like a downhill spiral, and it seemed more like a bother for people to remember that I had been born.
I mean, if its that much of a burden when it comes to the day I was born, what will happen on the day that I die?
Will anyone care? Remember that I even exsisted? Or will I just be, and disappear?
I went to go re-live my childhood tonight. As a youth, I grew up watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and since seeing the previews for the new movie, I was excited, but skeptical. Most movies based on old school TV shows, cartoons, comics, and video games tend to be disappointing to original viewers and fans such as myself.
As far as TMNT goes...I have absolutely ZERO complaints!
The movie was great! Action and animation was clean and very gripping. I found myself getting into the scenes, just like I did as a kid watching the TV shows. And the personalities of the turtles were not altered or butchered, and that was the greatest relief.
I will not post movie spoilers here. If you are an old school Turtles fan, this is a film you won't want to miss! I guarentee, you will be impressed.
